I just use a piece of fuel hose to preload the threads, keeps the adjusters from moving and keeps it easy to adjust

I know I’m a little late I used Starwasher‘s lock washers and a wing nut the take it the movement out I like what you did

Steel doesn't wear as fast as the aluminum or plastics ones. I make the groove very tight so it doesn't allow the cutter to rock much at all.

Ok My plastic was so Tight I actually had to open them up a little bit because I couldn’t get my chain in or To slide around.
But I will make a note when I’m ready to purchase them
