i figured it was well worth it. i have thought about one several times im pretty sure the old 450 that i first used a long time ago had a metal one

The wallet may hurt but damn some nice chains can be made with it. Did this one for a gtg last weekend. Ran it on my 064 and wow did it cut good.

And, a question for @srcarr52 ... Do you make an .050/.058 chain guide?

I guess I'm starting to warm up a bit to the Simington grinder...

I guess I'm starting to warm up a bit to the Simington grinder...

I have in the past but their isn't as much demand for those. Also I don't have the tooling to make a 58 gauge groove so I've had to make them 50 and grind it out.

I understand. If I get the Simington, which is looking more and more likely all the time, I will request an 050/058. I have no need for .063. Do you use a slitting saw on a rotary table/head?
