They tried to get hydro one to buy em when the 201 came out because of all the issues and no fix from stihl,. Never happened just a few demo saws. Almost like the rear handle on them was an afterthought. No top handle saws allowed by my employer.

I've only ported one bunch of years ago and it seems to me I recall some issues with the AV and the boot had to be squared away upon reassembly. Likely from being pinched and jerked on to retrieve it. Really don't know how popular they were, it was for a tree cutter though. Still have a vidja of it.

I had one "new" 339 many years ago, stihl was better in handling / cutting performance. The MS 200 sold really well here

That’s what I was getting at about the rear handle being an afterthought. The rear handle 200 is a gem. It’s way better vibration wise to even the 201 rear handle which seams like an afterthought as well. Nerve damage and cold weather are a *b-word.
