Didn't you take part in the thread where Hamish posted a lot of the service bulletins from different 550IPLs?

I don't think those went far enough back in time to mention the 3 shoe clutch - the attached one is the oldest 550 IPL I have, and there isn't anything about a clutch change there either.
Hi Niko,
This ipl shows a 3 piece clutch on the 550

Do you have a workshop manual that covers the Husqvarna 235/240 Chainsaws?

Pretty well figured it was a Poulan in Pumpkin. Just was needing the torque values, maybe the old Poulan chainsaw manual I have will do.

Anyone got one for the old 61 rancher?

Not really, but I have one from 1988 that covers the 61, 66, 266 and 268, and believe much still was the same on the 61.

The file is almost 21 Mb though, so I can't attach it here. Send me your E-mail address if you want me to try that.

What is described in the WS manuals may or may not vary with when the manual was written, relative to production changes. Repair instructions some times change with production changes - but in most cases they don't.

Also, it may vary how comprehensive the different manuals are.

Another note on the topic of the 61 - most of the changes usually associated with the "orange top" (vs the "gray top") didn't happen at exactly the same time as the color of the cover changed (in 1993), but over two years earlier (early 1991) - if you want to find out more about it, start with comparing the different IPLs....
