Priced a few bars through my dealer a 20'' 3/8 .050 with a replaceable sprocket nose was 98.00 plus tax
and the techlite bars are 70.00 and up. there is no need in bars being that expensive hell the oregon is cheaper.

That does seem a little pricey. It seems the techlite bars would be more expensive. Maybe a Husqy dealer will chime in to verify the prices.

The prices are stupid high.... but I think your dealer may be going for the gold. I am not at the shop but I think that bar retails for f $78 Wichita is still to high for basically a Oregon power match.

I think that same bar is about $85 at my local "dealer" (term used very loosely). Pretty crazy. I found a couple techlites on the bay for $50 or so last year, and if im spending $90+ on a bar its gonna be japanese steel

Funny that when Browning started using that Japanese steel no one wanted them...

I think I read that Oregon makes Husky bars and chains. Look into a Tsumura or Total Super bar. much better in my opinion and you can do better on the price you got.

Laminated Forester 3/8" x 20" is $25 at my local OPE shop. 3/8" x 72dl loop is $18.35. Full chizel.

But, he is not greedy.

The Husqvarna bar I bought replaced the Forester circle cutter B&C. Personally, I can not recommend the Forester brand at this time.
Also have been "porting" the oiler holes in Oregon bars, some get closed off with paint. A pointed diamond burr in the cable drive makes quick work of this though.
