Changed it again with another coil and fired on the first pull.
So you ran in to 2 bad coils?
Had that happen to me before. New means new it doesn't necessarily mean good.
Yeah but is this only common with the Rancher models?

That's what I was wanting to hear.It's not common at all, but it happens. I have only ever seen it on the lower end homeowner stuff, never on the pro models.

I have had 3 bad ones. One on 435 2 on 450. 435,440,445,450 use same coil. Coils are only about $22.00 ffrom Husky @ that price can't expect much.I've owned a lot of the 450's, and never seen a bad one(coil).
The most common coil's I've seen out on a husky are the 55 and the 61, they take the same coil.
