if you are raising an 044 to the 262, I could raise you a 372 to your 044.

That’s kinda the point I was making... in order to find a Stihl to match a 262xp, you need about 10 more cc’s.

Until my 562 crushes it.

Til the bearings fail and the saw melts, or the carb starts fugging up. I’ve had two of them... junk IMO.

This is THE 262 that would do the best ported. @trooney has both an 034S and a 262 I’ve done. His is a KS/87 and he gives a slight nod to it over the 1125 Stihl. He’d be best to tell you the differences side by side.
