husqvana 257 ring end gap

would anyone know what the min. and max. ring end gap is for a 257 husqvana saw a friend sent me one and the plug hole is stripped i removed the ring and cleaned the ring groove i wanted to check the end gap before reassembly but cant find the recommended gap on my west bends its .007 to .010 i plan on deleating the base gasket to gain some compression i checked the squish and its .018 so i guess im good there if i can find the ring end gap to check the ring i might not have to replace it
