My latest project Husky 61.
Has 2 piece ignition.
I have a set now, but when this set fails, or even if this set is bad.

Do you know where I can get a replacement set?

Thanks for the info.

Is the 181 ignition the same?

Sir,

No the 181 is its bigger brother.
I have a 288XP which is the same as the 181 (I think), and it is too big to fit in the space.

If this information is correct, Ecentric told me. If it is wrong.. I mis-understood him.

LOL. The 162/61/266 2-piece ignition setup is indeed totally different than (and not interchangible with) the 181/281/288 ignition setup.

Interestingly, the 181-288 ignition was also used on the little 42/242/246/etc saws.

Sorry Buddy, I can let you rent a Husky 235, but my Rooster is staying here, he is busy with his hens.

Hello all, new here and this is my first post. I know this thread is old but thought it to be valid. I also have a Husky 61, looked at the Northwood site, could not find the two piece ignition or a bar/chain combo on their website for this same chainsaw, so I will be calling them. Was hoping someone here would know of another place to find these hard to find items or an alternative I could use.
