Husky 350 bar studs coming loose

Anyone else had this problem? This is the second time it had happened.

Yes I have fixed several, I just cleaned the tank really good and add a little motoseal to the studs and pull them back through, I make sure the little metal plate is not bent also. It usually is caused by getting the saw hung and pulling on it, I have also seen the chain break get left on and deform all the plastic around the bar plate area.

This is the biggest criticism of the Husqvarna 350. It was fixed when the 353 was released. This muf mod fixes it:
The 353 has a second arm on the right going down that bolts to the case. That's not needed on the 350 if you shape the mod as shown.

I had a similar problem with my 025.I cleaned the hole with brake clean and compressed air then mixed up a batch of J.B. weld.50/50. Anyway packed the hole with the brew then screwed the stud in.I let is set overnight and it is Stihl holding. This was over three months ago and close to a dozen tanks of mix.

Therefore, that mixture you packed in was 50% JB Weld and 50% brake fluid? Seems rather amazing that it handled the heat. Oops, sorry, I thought you were talking about muffler bots.

What you concocted with JB Weld and brake fluid might have worked similar to thread-lock adhesive. Interesting...

The Stihl lugs screw into the case but the Husky 350 lugs have a square head and are held in from the back side. So, two different engineering designs.

The J. B. Weld has two tubes.Mix 50% white tube and 50% black tube. Equal portions for the slower members of the group.

I used Brake Clean to clean out the hole, then used compressed air from my 60 gallon air compressor to blow dry the arpitature.. Do not worry. I drained the moisture out of the compressor last spring.
