we were out cutting a 28" red oak, neighbors 262 that I sold him was running fine. All of a sudden, wouldnt start. This will be the 3rd carburetor I've put on it, all 120's and 144's. My 3 262's with 87 carbs all run flawlessly. He states it is only when it gets hot outside that he has problems with it. Been through this thing many times, not an air leak or nothing. Could it have to do with the tank vent? I'm scratching my head on this one.

Possible on the tank vent but if it is heat related I would be looking real close at the coil.

Tom I'd swap with one of your known good ones. See if the problem develops on yours and goes away on his. Kind of a double "double check"
