Decided to take down a few trees before the storm. Little to close to some out buildings. One of the young cows decided to check things out. Yall stay safe.

My brother and sisters family’s are on the eastern edge of it. Both have shuttered their houses and retreated. One literally right on the ocean in Surfside and the other right next to Kemah. Wait and see. Stay safe boys, it’s not always the storm that bites you

I’ve got some ol’ Jarhead buddies from many years ago, in Carthage and Tyler, Tx. Looks like Tyler will be east of the path, Carthage not so much.

Looks like your going to be busy Reggie.
I heard on news a woman died after a tree fell on her. Not sure of the specifics.
Bad powerful storm for sure.

Everything good here. They turned power off on us a little bit ago been running the bobcat. Guess they shut it down to do some repairs. It was a near miss like Randy said. Go 25 miles east and its pretty bad. Prayin for those people in east TX and LA.

While I feel for those who felt the brunt of Laura, on Thursday we had an Ef1 tornado roll through less than a mile from the house, along with a bunch of microbursts. Heavy tree damage, lines down, the next town over completely without power (sub-station taken out). Verizon lost all cell service for miles around due to a fiber optic main transmission line getting taken out. Our town lost all 911 service for 18 hours until some portable equipment was brought in. Luckily I just had one big limb come down on my front steps (missed the house by about a foot)and lots of wind blown debris.

To see the devastation around here I can only imagine what happened when Laura rolled through. Prayers for all affected.
