Surely they don't flex any more or less than an double bevel.

Its thinner than a double. If it wasn't it wouldn't fit. Yes they flex easily.

Interesting. Didnt know they were thinner. If a thicker double bevel fits why wouldn't the same thick file but single bevel fit? Just trying to learn.

I guess I don't understand the difference. Don't you file with a single bit the exact same way as a double?

SB only have one angle, obviously, the DB angle back away from the cutter on the bottom where as the SB doesn’t

If it was as thick as a double you wouldn't be able to get the right angles without removing the tie straps.

Single bevel is a waster of money if you push hard or don’t have the ATOP. They might work decent on Picco chain. I never like them since I only use one hand on the file normally

Apparently they are 2.3mm thick vice 3.2mm for the double...

Anyone have a better source for single bevel files other than Bailey's? One file is $21.99 plus $9.99 shipping... that's nuts.

I have a double bevel and don't like it, want to try a single bevel...
