I have 13 acres, with about 10 fenced into areas for goats and horses. My wife has gotten into the ornamental breed chickens, so they're running around too. I garden, mow the remaining 3 acres that is yard, and am slowly clearing and reclaiming the overgrown parts of the pasture areas from 40 years of neglect. I have a full time job and coach the two youngest daughters in youth sports, so it stays busy at my place.
Not really a farmer but I do help fix agriculture equipment as a job.
Repaired a radiator on a 4430 this week.
Going to try and learn about forage machines more and more. If anyone has any interesting repairs feel free to PM me so maybe I can learn more and more lol

Had my fill of small time farming when i was growing up. Family farm was my mothers thing really ... she had a small suckler herd on 21 acres of grass. The farm is now just used for a grass crop (sold on) and sheep in the winter months to keep the grass right. I still scoot round with a topper now and again but i mostly just help out with the hedges (small fields up in the hills have lots of hedges !) and look after about 7 acres of woodland plus the gardens . My sister and Bro in law farm 500 organic acres of mixed Beef/sheep/grass and grain 3 miles from me.
My great grandpa was the last farmer to make a living off our farm. My grandpa stayed and only was a farmer, but my grandma worked off the farm.
Then my dad took over and work off the farm full time and my mom worked part time. Now my brother and I both work full time and farm, plus both our wife's work......
I really would like to able to stay home and farm and raise my family.
My grandpa told me when I was younger "someday you'll need a wheelbarrow full of money to buy anything"
