It's a humid miserable sob here in Missouri, loggers start early and quit early.
Ya I am north east of you and it has been sticky. Been trying to cut and split first thing in the am and roast in the evening but man that is a long day. Afternoon naps are an awesome thing. Lol

You know it's hot when you drink 8-10 bottles of water and never pizz once.High humidity will get you before actual heat . Dry heat the perspiration evaporates and cools .High humidity it just drips off and gets in your eyes ,hardly cools at all.

MOst of my wood cutting is done in the hotter months here in Australia with temps getting well over 110f

In heat like this, I usually break down before the saw does.

One day, I drank so much water I ended up vomiting water and almost passed out.
I have taken to drinking Gatorade to keep the salts up and try not to over do it on hot days.

I stock up on gastrolytes for summer, it's not easy keeping hydrated on big days in long sleeves, chainsaw pants, chainsaw boots, helmet and sunnies!, we do a fair bit of council contracting so have to wear every piece of PPE imaginable. Typical council thinking - its ok to pass out and die from heatstroke but short sleeves in the summer might give you skin cancer... [emoji16]

We get to watch all the union boys on building sites leaving around 36°c, must be so hot standing around in shorts and a singlet... mincers
