They hold up just fine. Less stress than when in a log.Nice saw tree, but how do the bar studs behave on that 384 having to hold the saws weight for a prolonged period of time.
Also, one of Your saws made some doody on the floor - almost looks like it was that 384. Bad saw!
My saws are on shelves with their work bars mounted.
Spare chains are stacked on the top shelve stored in their original cardboard boxes.
Spare bars are hung on the wall on bolts.
No pictures as I am on my tablet PC and not at home.
It's a 394 btw, not a 384. Just a friendly note.
That doo doo was from a 385. She had been crushed by a tree at one point. Little chunk missing from the oil fill hole. Was fine when running the saw. Just sitting over time she leaked.
