How do you clean threaded holes

Ok so how do you clean the oil out of the holes after you split the case haves.
Seams like they are very oily and I am having trouble with screws staying tight.
Seams I saw where someone used break cleaner and others used ultrasonic cleaners.
How do you clean them?

Acetone, if you get brake cleaner hot enough it will produce phosgene gas. As a welder I have to be careful of brake cleaner. I have heard that the non-chlorinated is OK, but I would rather be safe than dead.

Uc it takes all the oils out of the threaded holes

How to clean threaded holes:

You Clean them.

Use can of carburetor cleaner with the straw on the nozzle, give 'er a squirt then a shot of air. Loctite seems to hold OK after this. Do same to screws too.

Carb Clean or automotive electrical cleaner it drys rapidly good for around heat applications

clean?your talking to psp's.the holes just dont get dirty.

I use starting fluid to clean tons of stuff. Most of the time it's cheaper then cans of other stuff and it drys quickly.

Some of the saws people bring me to work on would put a PSP into a full blown cardiac arrest.
