How about the MS400

Is anyone using this saw who can comment on what its best suited to.
Stihl list it as a 13,500 max rpm, and with good torque figures,
does anyone know the stroke of this saw.

Is it built on the 362 bottom end, wouldnt like to think it was,
would hope the bottom end was stronger, how about the bearings
used down there, are they the same or upgraded for the extra power.

My 2159 felt a good bit stronger all around but the 400 wasn't that far behind. Granted cut times don't really determine how good a worksaw is in my mind but that 400c ran pretty good.

Went into my local Stihl dealer last week (yes my part had come in, but they could not find my phone #!!!).

They had a bunch of 400s, which they were very surprised they got, said they are selling well.

They also had one 261 and one 362. The also got 2 462s in, but both were sold before they hit the shelves.

Also said it is impossible to get 661s now!

Interesting..... somethings telling me to put a 462 on order at my normal dealer or my new local dealer.
It's on my list of saws to obtain. I'm not quite willing to push coin in that direction though. So much to do, but slowly catchin up.
