There are many alternatives, & probably cheaper ones.
dirco ht, yamabond 4 or 5, threebond, & a whole lot of Permatex products.

I guess you just have to make the choice of which product suits you sir…

I,m sure if you read around dirco is used by quite a few guys, however I got peeved at the tubes going hard before I,d used less than 1/2. So I got Permatex aviation stuff last time

All I ever use is Altra Gray rtv never had a cylinder leak no base gasket really hard to get cylinder off I can dang near run my saw without the cylinder bolts.

There are various products that work well. Ultra Gray or Ultra Black, Dirko, etc.
I use The Right Stuff personally, but just because that's what we have around the shop for sealing engine sumps, valve covers, etc.
If someone starts bashing you for not using a fuel-proof sealant, I'm not sure there is something truly fuel-proof, including Dirko.
