Aboit the only difference is the smallest tip in that set is significantly smaller than your standard hobart tip cleaner set... so basically, they added one smaller one, which is the cleaner mounted in the brass tube.. which unless you are working on really small pilot jets, never gets used... i have gotten by for over 10 yrs as a full time small engine mechanic with out that particular size cleaner tip... Is that kit any different from a torch cleaner kit you get at your local welding supply store?
Do you guys see what I mean? That Honda kit is $70.00 on eBay!

I have never needed that smallest one like i said, been a tech for over 10 yrs at 2 different honda dealers, and have always used the cheap hobart set from tractor supply....
There are various carburetors that have jets that small (the GC carburetors I believe). It comes in handy for getting a small hole started in a thoroughly clogged jet.
Torch tip cleaners usually work fine, but if you want a set with more sizes, this is on ebay:

Why is that Honda kit so freaking expensive? It's almost the cost of a new Genuine Honda carburetor.
They do the smooth to not abrade the jet to a larger sizeThanks for that link. I find it interesting that the wires are advertised as being smooth and not serrated.

Just looked at my coworkers honda set, they are smoothWould the expensive Honda kit have smooth wires or would they be serrated?
ThankYou for that information!Just looked at my coworkers honda set, they are smooth
TEchnically correct, removal is destructive (you have to thread a self tapping screw into the top of it) and if i recall, there is no replacement for them (that said, i have removed them successfully, you need to be VERY careful that the tip of the self tapping screw does not make its way into the orifice, i had to pull one out of a used carb because the customer tried to clean it themself and broke off a piece of wire in the pilot jet...LOL )ThankYou for that information!
By the way, that idle jet is not removable like the main jet is; correct?
I went ahead and ordered the special Honda cleaning kit from a place called "PartzillaMarketplace" on eBay.TEchnically correct, removal is destructive (you have to thread a self tapping screw into the top of it) and if i recall, there is no replacement for them (that said, i have removed them successfully, you need to be VERY careful that the tip of the self tapping screw does not make its way into the orifice, i had to pull one out of a used carb because the customer tried to clean it themself and broke off a piece of wire in the pilot jet...LOL )
