Has anyone stripped the clear coat from the Tsumura bars easily? When milling it will start burning off on the edge sometimes.

I believe @Redbull661 may have done so, when he was testing the Yapanese bars. I seem to recall that it made for a considerably lower running temperature.

My Sugi bars started letting go of the clear coat after just a handful of hours, and not just at the edges.

Panel bond gets rock hard. If you apply it correct, even stays pretty shiny. Was solid black last time I used it. Only issue, it will not hold paint.

It is ment to glue steel parts together. Quarterpanels, bedside, door skins. Etc. If applied properly sheet metal will tear before the bond breaks.
I use this at work and it will tear metal around it before the bonding breaks. CREST makes the same stuff and is just as good as the 3m

Pretty much what I have been using from Relton(HS-16).

http://relton.com/metal-cutting-hs-series-2/

I don't know of the quality of the Relton Annular Cutters, but Hougen is superior to the brands I am familiar with.

Pig fat works well as lube.

There used to be an Industrail tooling company that sold it in a roll similar to the old cardboard drill sleeves.

The Reltons seem to be pretty high quality, the issues I had were due to my lack of ability to not be strong like bull.

Jon ,Are you beveling the edge where the inserts are going to give the material somewhere to anchor to ?

Si señor. Trying for 45° from both sides, using a dremel flex shaft, and double cut burrs.

(Seems like you have been pretty good with the bull through the years . . . )

Has anyone ever tried punching hole through a bar using a hydraulic hole punch like a Piranha or Scotchman ironworker? I'm a bit skeered that it might grenade a punch.
