I used to run a couple 272 huskies with heat back in the day. The 5 series are much much smoother and their heated handles much better.
Do you remember if the rear handle was heated on the 200 series saws you ran?
I've got a 268gG but it appears only the front handle is heated.

I have found the only downside the past few weeks of heated handles. The throttle has no heat so my trigger finger gets cold after awhile!

As my circulation got poorer I found even with heated grips I had to switch from gloves to chopper mittens somewhere around 0f or my trigger finger gets cold.

Wise words, Mark. Problem is in the north country that is a lot of days.
The chair next to the stove is extra nice after some hours in the winter woods.
Plus cold fingers provide a nice excuse to hunt for a new saw!
