So, my aunt is selling stuff from my uncle's estate and asked me if I was interested in a rifle he had. The guy wasn't a hunter and I can't imagine he fired it much. It is a Mossberg 100 ATR .308, one of the later ones with a fluted barrel and Savage Accutrigger copy. It has the basic cheap plastic stock and blind magazine. I told her I would see if the fun store was interested in buying it, I doubt they will offer much if anything for it. Mossbergs other than 500's are seen as bottom of the barrel. She would probably just give it to me if I asked nicely.

Before I take it over there, is this rifle worth keeping as a backup or loaner? Or is it just trouble waiting to happen?
My opinion is guns is like saws, never seen one I didn't want.

New .22 i ordered a few weeks ago came into my lgs today so after 11hrs at work, got to stop on the way home and pick it up. Its a Savage 64 precision in a MDT chassis. Bud's had the best deal on factory 10 and 20 round mags so got a few of those and also a fde grip and 500rds of Velociter last week during all the black friday sales madness. Have a Vortex red dot or a Trybe 3x prism to put on it for now. Probably get a 1-8 scope or something in that magnification range for it later on down the road.

Yeah, ain't that the truth! I disassembled and cleaned the rifle after work and I think it has been used very little. Honest 99% metal finish and no scratches on the stock. My uncle was not an outdoorsman at all, from what I understand he just shot at coyotes off the porch with it a few times. The design of the rifle seems to be a mix of Remington and Savage. Savage style extractor and barrel nut, Remington style trigger, safety, and magazine box. I went ahead and put one of my scopes on the rifle, I'll give it a test drive before I take it to the shop. Who knows, I may end up liking it!

I got a Ted Williams 12 gauge from my cousins wife a few years ago,her dad bought it new for a pheasant hunting trip his company was having for all their big shots.he got 1 box of shells for it,shot it 3 times on the trip and put it in a closet.she was gonna give it to me after he died.but I paid her 300 for it just for the story behind it.got it and the original box of shells hanging on the wall.

The grip angle looks wrong to me. I wanna see a review of it when you have a chance, Czed
I've never seen one in person
Several positive reviews on YouTube
A few negative reviews on forums dead triggers mostly.
It's glock gen 3 internals i can make it run
I rebuilt many glocks over the year's
Normally putting glock parts back in lol
Some of those fancy trigger systems
Don't play to well with glocks.

They feel ok but I'll find out when the rural king receives it.
I hate the long wait time's picking up guns at rk
But prices are excellent
Free shipping and ffl also.

They aren’t bad rifles. I won one on a raffle and my son uses it from time to time. I’ve got $20 in it so if it gets scratched or dinged out hunting, it’s no big deal. I e threw it in the tractor with me from time to time when coyotes are doing their thing, lol.

Picked this beast up a while back. We were hoping to take a deer with it this weekend, but things didn’t work out. We were hunting thicker woods and it would have been perfect for the 45-70.
