Well, I've crossed over to the dark, all orange side. Just brought home a new 395xp! What have I done? I have a few questions though. Is a muffler mod needed? How do I pull the limiters on a Husky? The dealer has it tuned WAY fat which is good for now, but it is only turning 11,000 or so. I asked about re-turning it and was told it didn't need it. That's what happens when you buy from a farmer's co-op!

The saw with 24" husky bar (biggest they had in stock) cost me $1000 out the door. The saw had been sitting a while in the shelf and they wanted to move it. Pics to come, sitting in traffic waiting on a log truck to be righted!

If it's got the white plastic ring around the screws buy the spline tool off eBay. Grainger county?

I've found brand loyalty is nothing but ignorance. A very good friend of mine, like a non blood brother, is an absolute GM products nut. We took a spin in a friends '16 mustang GT that had very mild bolt on's. The look on his face was priceless.

I've loved all different models of saws, each one was unique and had its own romance. They were like women, some were fast and slight...others were more...voluptuous and stout. All of them were satisfying ;)

I'd own Fords just park them down the street lol. And sweet deal on the saw.

I just keep my Chevy parked in the barn so no one sees it. Same with my the pontoon boat since it has a Mercury on it!

I am not brand loyal at all. I just buy what I can afford at the time. I had been contemplating a big "personal" saw for some different uses. We have a 661 at work and is a nice saw, I'm just not a fan of the Mtronic yet. Now to decide who I will get to port this one! Any suggestions? How many TN saw doctors do we have on here?

Since I have this beast now and got it for big wood and milling eventually, what brand bars would you all recommend? I can get Oregon bars at cost from a local guy. He is a full dealer and can get anything in the catalog. No one around here carries anything longer than a 28" or maybe 32" if I want to drive to Knoxville. I was thinking in the 36-42" range, especially if I buy a mill in the future.
