MS 260...it ain't fancy, got a redneck muff mod, it's loud as hell but, it's the lightest saw I have and it's handy for general chores. In a pinch, I've cut some pretty big wood with it. Not quickly but, got the job done. :beer-toast1:

My 272 XP because it has been dead reliable and always starts well. But I am currently building a 262 and a 346 so that could soon change. However, Mr. Evans has agreed to "tweak" my 272 so it will probably stay my favorite, it will be the first ported saw that I own. Apart from my own cull attempts at hacking away with a hoof rasp that is.

Got into some big oak this weekend and now I'm thinking I need a bigger backup saw. Too many options... Do I go smaller with a 261, or bigger to a 441 or 661?

Find a used 044 10 mm with a KS jug. There are some around still at reasonable prices.

Or, if just for bucking (not limbing), the 441 is getting hard to find, but a 461 is a real nice saw (or a used 046/460).

A 661 is sweet, but it is also heavy.
