Hey Junior, please forgive the blasphemy but do you ever run across any non-self propelled 4 stroke LB's? I'm not talking about the ugly things that bear the name nowadays, but actual LB's with 4 stroke engine. I have one that is self-propelled but it is kind of heavy and awkward for my needs.

I was big into lawn boy several years ago and then got burned out . I just have one left that is my wife’s 1964 buttercup. Junior I have a early fifty’s brick too C engine with the flat spot on the blade end of the crank. It has good comp and spark. It is missing carb tank and shroud. Let me know if you are interested, it looks like you have quite the collection.
Yea i will be interested. I think I have parts plus a extra butter cup I saved for parts if you need one for parts I think it is all there. I am looking to put a engine together for my Loafer. I have a deck but no engine. When you get the time check and see what model brick top you have. Trade or Price. If your interested in the buttercup let me know the model.

Uh oh, I think I just found my next mower and there is a dealer one county over from me. The brand name is Masport, they are from New Zealand, and been making mowers forever. Yep, gonna have to start a special envelope for it!

I may have one or two. I will look tomorrow. If I do you can have it. Those are a sin with LB collectors. I just took a load of scrap engines to Waco scrap yard this evening. That is the placed to look. I know I saw some out there if they are not mushed.

I will check on the model of the engine for you. I will have to dig it out of the basement in the next few days.

Do you want to part with that? That I would like to have with my tractors at shows. I have 1, 106 - 107 - 110 - 112 and newer lawn mower. That would look good down at Renfro show this fall. If all goes as plan. Sawman. how is your wife. I hope all is well.
I could probably part with it. It has a cool back story, it came from Alaska, it is very low time due to summer only being three months long. My mom and Dad took it apart for me and brought it down in suit cases when they flew down to visit. Thanks for the thoughts about the wife, she has her good days and her bad days. She is slowly making headway getting better.

I mow with a different mower every week or two to exercise them, I think I have 10 tractors with decks and 10 set up for garden work.

Sorry no engines but quite a few of cast decks that will probably work if you want one.

Good to hear about your wife. I will ask my God for some help. The story to me is more valuable than the machine. I was in Burlington Ky over the weekend and stopped at the antique shop and asked all the older people about J. A. Stevens mowers that was made in that town. One man is giong try to find out. I had to get my picture in front of the old LB factory in Gallsburg Ill. By the way wife was talking last night. JD models 60, 70, 110 and 112 in my collection to show. The Butter Cup model I have is C76 1964, 1965 I need D401 but right now I would rather love the JD if you'll part with it. Thanks, Mike
