Gasket delete question

When you delete a gasket between the cylinder and crankcase is as simple as just using a sealant instead of the gasket? I am working on a FS106 that the cylinder to crankcase gasket is no longer available.

A few pointers would be helpful here as I skimmed a threads mentioning gasket deletes but just don't the details. I do know the gasket involved here was very thin.

Yep. Clean the areas first and make sure there aren’t any clearance isdues with any cylinder extensions, screws inside the case, squish, etc. Something like Dirko or Motoseal

You can make a thin one out of paper gasket roll too

I even think I read somewhere beer cans have been used but you have to drink the beer first for it to work properly
