So... My Dad "sharpened" all of his chains with his Chicago electric sharpener. I have atleast 4 that I'm trying to get straightened out. I put a brand new Oregon chain on his 036. He does that crap again I'm going to steal the harbor freight hunk of junk and send him a video of it on fire.
I really do not like that grinder. The thing that holds the chain flexes because part of it is plastic. The grooves and the backstop are all extremely loose. The Chain moves all over the place when the grinder touches it... Makes it difficult to be consistent. One could probably rebuild some of the apparatus and improve on the machine.
