Bearings at the cutter head on my old FS 86 Stihl trimmer are shot. They whine and make noise and are gritty.

Where can one get replacement bearings?

I have had them out before. I am familiar with the circlips. I was not able before to find the right size bearing.
Any good sources?

I know this is going to sound sarcastic but why don't you check with your Stihl dealer. I'm sure the gears are shot too. Did you ever grease the bevel gear head?

You also can get a whole aftermarket china gear head for about 30 bucks.

They are stock standard METRIC bearing available from a bearing shop
The important words in the above are BEARING SHOP
Not Wallys, Not harbour Freight, Not Lowes , Not Evilpay , Not Scamazon but a real bearing shop staffed by real people who know about bearings
