Got me thinking about venison cubed steaks fried in butter, covered in onions with mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans cooked with bacon, onion and butter, biscuits with (what else more butter) and a glass of sweet tea to wash it all down. Also, I can't fry up potatoes without onion in it, just has to have it. Mushrooms are OK sometimes on a steak , but onions are mandatory for just about everything. I have to go see what's in the freezer now.

What on earth is BBQ gravy. Any you fellas try red eye gravy. Made w the coffee leftovers. I just learned of it. Use it like you would the regular water/ pan leftovers but use coffee instead

I first ate red eye when a very small boy. I'd wake up at my grannies on the weekend when I spent the night. It would be early in the morning. She would be frying country ham, link sausage and bacon. (She made the red eye from the country ham drippings). She'd make grits, eggs (any way you wanted them) and home made biscuits. They were from the sand hills of SC. Some of the best memories I have of my child hood. No one left the table hungry at her house!

My wife will slather a pork loin or shoulder with bbq sauce and slow cook them at 200 degrees in oven for about 4-5 hours depending on size and when it's done she takes all the drippings/bbq sauce and whatnot from the roaster and makes gravy out of it. We've always called it bbq gravy.

had some stir fired (sauteed-whatever) pork tips with peppers, onions and gravy over rice today.
Added some green beans and some cole slaw. No pics, sorry, but it was very good.

Taste pretty good to me! Scalloped potatoes and cheese in the crock pot, and venison fried with gravy. Thanks!

Had fried mashed potatoes for breakfast, just add an egg to left over mashed taters and stir real good and fry it up in the pan.
