IMG_0308.jpegIMG_0309.jpegIMG_0310.jpegMassive amounts of trees down all across south-central Ontario. Hundreds of thousands out of power since Saturday. Havn’t seen one American Hydro crew coming to our aid after all help we send all the way down to Florida and New Orleans and everywhere in between. Is this what our relationship has come to?

We currently are in the same situation. Nothing to do with any kind of relationship. We have our own *s-word to take care of. Michigan had the worst ice storm in 100 years!

Ice storms suck. We had almost a half inch of ice on the trees here the second week of February, and it was devastating to the woods, in addition to dangerous travel and prolonged power outages. I was still cleaning up the damage from Helene at that point, and I'll be cleaning ice storm damage for a lot longer than that. The mills have quit buying white pine sawlogs, and are offering only bopttom dollar for hardwoods, because they're getting glutted. So everything I'm cutting now is just getting piled up. It's very discouraging.

There were 50,000 GLE customers out of power just in the western 1/3 of the lower peninsula of Michigan. National Guard just got involved helping out here thankfully. There’s still 40,000 customers without power and some will have to wait an estimated two more weeks. Power crews would cut their way in several miles down the road and then have to cut their way back out.

Really poor form to come onto a US based chainsaw forum with your hand out crying about not getting help when your neighbors in Michigan are in worse shape. The same storm came through Michigan first and was weakened before it hit Canada. You’re welcome. Methinks you’re not likely to get much sympathy here. Just sayin’🤷🏼‍♂️

Did I mention anything about Michigan? No! Btw full chizel your chart even shows more customers out in Ontario than Michigan, so what was your point?
I was talking more about those sunshine states than our bordering neighbours up here.

Just shut the hell up and quit being an azzhole. I see no reason for this thread to have ever been started other than to just ruffle feathers. I'm also taking your original post as semi political in nature and there's no place for that chit here.

Last I heard, much of the central and southern US was getting hit with tornado's, flooding and other nasty crap.. I doubt there are many utility company crews just sitting idle anywhere in north America.

I don't know where you get your information from Ed but I definitely didn't loose power for a few days a few weeks ago due to any tornadoes...
