Looks good I have a roll of some mesh got off the bay been thinking of doin somethin similiar.

I have a few of the oem ones that are wire mesh.
I believe they are a cold weather filter

A bit of apoxy around the edges to seal it and held it down with electrical tape till it set up.

Now if it will cool down to a point where it is possible to go outside, I will be able to test it

I believe so.
I have one on my 044 right now in the basement. I can check the PN# later.
The plastic is green.

And yes, it's a winter filter.
I wish they made one for the 661 like this

I was just looking at one but didn't get the part number, I can get it in the morning.
The 2 I have are green,one from a 064 and I don't know where I ground the other one.

Downside to mesh is it lets fines thru .
There was a time when Stihl supplied the mesh for winter and the felt for summer at least up here in the north .

Yeah I wouldn't run the mesh on it's own in dusty hardwood here
I plan to test it with an outerware cover and if it lets fines in I will switch to a K&N
