No debate just curiousity, was been your tired and true saw lubricants.

For me
engine: liquid moly 2 stroke,
Bar sprocket: super lube multipurpose grease NGLI 1 for clutch drum bearin.
Bar and chain oil: I've been having real good results with hyper tough bar oil. Tried one from O'Reilly's the other day (can't recall the name) It was super thin. My ms271 seemed to like it(come to think of it probably the best my 271 has oiled with the 20 inch bar and chain ,my 372xt pretty much poured in one end and dumped it out the other.

Mix: Amsoil Saber @ 50:1. It just works, 2 stroke and 4-Mix.

Grease: Mobil SHC 100. I keep it and XHP 222 on hand, in cases. XHP is an extreme pressure Moly-Lithiplex grease that is not recommended for most bearings, as best I can gather because of the Molybdenum content-something I find interesting because as best I can tell Stihl grease has a high Moly content. SHC series greases are bearing greases-so they’re fit for purpose.

I’ve been using orange bottle Stihl oil for a long time, with what Husqvarna used to bottle as their “premium” that came in a white jug until I couldn’t find it locally before that. It works well enough for me and is easy to find.

Mix: Amsoil Dominator @ 32:1

Bar Oil: Amsoil or Mystik

Tip Grease: None - even on bars with a grease-able tip, I don’t grease them. They don’t need it if the oiler is set properly. In fact, the grease just attracts dirt/debris and keeps it there..

Sprocket Bearing Grease: Amsoil Syn Multi Purpose

I don’t grease sprocket tips either. That dirt, dust and grit turns into an abrasive paste that does way more harm than good.

I may ruffle some feathers with this one... i know theres a lot of oil hate in the chainsaw world...LOL

Mix Stihl HP ultra 32:1
Bar grease whatevers in the grease gun IF i remember to grab a grease needle, otherwise it gets the chain lube dumped on it at the start of the day...
Chain lube: stihl woodcutter

Part of my bias on oils is i get them at cost being a stihl mechanic at a stihl shop, but i have had NO issues with carbon like people claim stihl oil has because "its not FD rated" or whatever the bs is that they spew... i run the stuff in my rc boat motor as well, mix that around 12:1, and after 3 gallons of fuel thru that 20k rpm motor thats under full load ALL the time, i dont see any reason to be concerned...

If I could get it at your cost I would use it too. I have noticed the orange bottle oil mix has made an appearance at the local store after only having silver bottles available.🤔

Cut it. That's from saw salvage right? Or traverse creek whatever you want to call it 😂 I've been thinking about trying there cutting oil. I've been using canola oil from WinCo for pipe dieing. Honestly I get better threads from that specific canola oil than the "dark" whatever it's called that Ridgid sells. Added benefit if I thread some pipe in my shop and then shortly afterwards weld something in that area. it smells like french fries!!

I've never had a carbon problem with Stihl oil either(granted I've got very little experience with chainsaws) Stihl HP ultra is what I used to run on my 330lk and other prior less then adequate trimmers( legit weed eaters and the cheapest at that) I personally like the way liqui moly smells. Reminds me of my childhood. when it comes to oils and greases almost all companies (major ones that is) are roughly the same! they all have to pass strick quality control tests. What it really comes down to is preferences. My uncle's swear loyalty to Lucas, my father liqui moly, my limey mother and her mother. (Hehe grandma... don't call a British woman Grandma they freaking hate it 🙃🙂🙃🙂) Are big Royal purple fans. I myself would use nothing but super lube products if they made actual engine oils. There is one major difference that most could agree on is modern fully synthetic oils tend to have better lubricating properties than conventional oil.

Engine: Echo Red Armor

Bar/tip Grease: They’re grease able !? J/K. I have every oiler set to max so I don’t bother with greasing the bars.

Bar oil: temperature dependent really. Usually a blend of whatever I have on hand from oil changes in the farm. In the winter I run a mostly used motor oil. In the summer if it’s below 60F I’ll run a used motor oil and gear or actual bar oil mix. Above 60F I run used motor oil and gearbox oil drainings. All used oil gets filtered first and I’ve never had an issue. I have an 041 Farm Boss that had probably had 100gal of used oil run through it since new and it oils like a champ. Lotta hate in used oil but it’s plenty full around here and when we go through 20+gal of saw bar oil a year we run what we have.

Engine: Husq XP+ 45:1

Bar Tip: I don't grease them but they take a bath in the parts washer when I clean saws/chains/bars & then sprayed with CRC 336 or 350

Bar Oil: 50/50 mix of Bel-Ray with Mystic or CAM2 from Rural King.

I should have mentioned that the only time I gease bar tips is when they are brand new. Or if it's the 20 inch that came on my ms271. Little oil pump can't really keep up. Even when I run a thinner oil. Anyone know of a adjustable or higher output replacement?

mix- i just dumped all of my bottles of oil into the container of saber and run 32:1 with that variety of oils. Most of the oils in there are good oils.

bar oil whatever i can get the cheapest for the season im in at the time just not vegtable oil

never grease the bar tip as others have said grease just collects gunk
clutch bearing high temp grease of some kind

Hold up!!! 12-1 holy sheet.. freshly tapped maple syrup mid winter in Canada as a fuel mix??! Dwaaammm. RC boats. Are they fun? I've never played with one before. Childhood involved crimped picalo pees (damn Oregon!! Can't have no fun celebrating merica here) and those cheap RC cars from Walmart. 🤣

Greasing them does nothing in comparison to running a sufficient amount of bar oil.
Not sure if you’re arguing with me or agreeing with me but I should have said I don’t bother with greasing the bar sprockets. I’ve never had one come flying apart so either the oil makes its way in there or I just don’t use them enough to wear out a tip.

What ever is on special when I need more.

Bar oil - whatever my mate with a harvester bought in a 1,000lt drum and will sell me cheap.

Grease - The 20kg drum if Castrol argi I use on all the other equipment.

Yeah, I'm cheap.
