Dayum, the seller just sent me an offer for this saw at $260.03 shipped. I'm getting weaker....
Honestly local place my wife used to work dealt them for a short while and the way they abandoned all the dealers when the stupid long warranty started costing them too much and they left the guys selling them holding the bag I wouldn’t touch one personally. All the newer ones I saw locally weee dead inside 2-3 years with hard to get parts seems ignitions were a big issue with them.

Good to know, sometimes things are cheap for a reason. Somebody else bought the saw so I don't have that little devil on my shoulder now!
I do admit I have a few old ones that were given to me from the 90’s but weather it should or not it bugs me what they did when they left all the dealers holding the bag. I would think the same was it Stihl, husky or echo also. All of them do some strange stuff and deny warranty or try at times when they shouldn’t but to come out and tell the dealerships they aren’t getting reimbursed for what they fixed under your warranty is bs.

I hadn't heard of this before, now I understand why there are so few dealers around here although Emak has been in the USA for decades. All of them I have seen are little hole in the wall places that probably couldn't afford to set up shop with Stihl/Husky/Echo and OPE is not their primary business. The one Efco dealer in my town is a welding and sheet metal shop.

Yes I own a efco 156 and 165. I like both saw they work well. But personally I think for the 152 you were looking at, you would be
disappointed. The echo 501 you own I think is more nimble and probably a little lighter and stronger.
I own the echo cs530 and a cs400 both great saws.

Yep, love my 501 and ported 500 to death, great saws. I have two 400's, the perfect small wood saw if there ever was one.
