Agree. I deal with this on the regular. The minute the word arborist gets attached to gear it instantly doubles the price. The 151 is a quality saw to be sure, but I really see no reason to choose it over the echo 2511.
I realize you don’t care for the 193/194 but price wise power for dollar it’s a pretty good deal. Seem to hold up pretty well even though it’s a clam shell saw.

Really there aren't many chainsaws that I don't like. The 193/194 are fine saws, but it's a philosophy of use decision for me. The 193/4 is a tweener saw for how I like to perform tree work. Kind of like the 60cc saw class. If I'm doing a removal I need the power of a 201t. If I'm just pruning the 2511 is the perfect combo if price/weight/power for that application. They are very close in felt power and way lighter.

I completely see your point on your thoughts, I think the guys like the 193-194 here because they are large enough for probably 80% of the work plus lighter so they can save wear on their aging 200’s for when needed

I've rec'd the 191/2/3/4 to new climbers looking for a 1 saw does most type deal before. I've also had climbers who've tried my 2511 ditch their 193's in favor of one. It's really just a personal preference thing.

There is one top handle Stihl could have avoided in your post, the 191t was a strangely balanced saw that had absolutely no power for its displacement. I found a near mint one on eBay and got it for one of the tree guys up here for 125$ If I remember right. After running it I know why it was cheap. I advanced the timing snd opened the muffler a bit but the big restriction is the stupid intake tube between the carb and air filter.

Yep they were weird saws, but stihl got away with it because there weren't as many choices for us climbers back then.

Honestly don’t know if they really gained any power from the 019t it was made from. And I know my 194t that I just finished with my timing advance and muffler work on would walk away from the 191t for sure. I’m not a climber or tree guy at all but the wife snd my kids bought me a 194t for my birthday to carry on the wheeler and for brushing trails.

I'm no fan of the 193 but to be fair your comparing 2 different saw classes there. Ms150/151 would be the direct competitor.
sorry, they are the only small saws i own. mainly got the 2511 because it is a non-strato non-clamshell. will be great for clearing trails on horse.

The strato part doesn’t bother me anymore, used to think it was going to be a huge problem but proved to not be

Couldn't really say on the 019t vs. 191t. When I first started out my boss recommended the 191t as a cheaper alternative to a 200t. I went to the dealer to try one out and didn't care for it, but didn't have enough cash for a 200t. The dealer did me a solid and gave me a dead 020t and I had him order me the parts to fix for cheap ( mostly piston and rings), so I rolled with that until I could afford a 200t.

Great example of what I was saying about philosophy of use. It's a perfect saw for what you need to use it for. The fact that it was a thoughtful gift from your family is just icing on the cake.
