I have someone interested in possibly buying a 1201, He isn’t a member here though. Could someone pm a email or phone number please?

The guy you need to have a PM with is @NightRogue . He can get the saw and I’m sure he doesn’t care if they’re a member here or not. Is that what you’re asking for?

I didn’t read through the post, I just knew I had seen one about these. That wasn’t the name I remembered though. Thanks!

How did it turn out? Do you like the torque/power curve? Would you choose different timing numbers?

Oh man this is going to be funny

So i ported it and did test cut and found out it was lacking compression for some weird reason, so i cut base and squish band few times and the dome piston was turned into pop up. Oddly compression wasn't that great, it can be pulled over without hitting the decomp. You can't even do that on a stock 1200/1201, they come with crazy high compression from factory. Finally i found out piston was worn and it wasn't fit on the bore, felt like hitting my head on the wall.

Anyway that's how it ran after porting with low compression, which is actually impressive. New piston is on its way, I'll find out how it responds to that and let yall know. Stock timing is close to 660s, which is pretty good to be piped with no timing change lol

This one is brand new 1201 ported for milling to pull 72", dyno result was only 9hp but the torque it has low down is close to 2 stock 3120. It pulls like a tractor, the chain in the video has rakers taken down almost double than recommended level. Woods ported 070 cant even turn that chain, it scared the crap outta me.

This pop up piston was used on the failed 1200 project
