Custom chainsaw winch project takes a back seat, i timed this saw before and decided to do it again to be sure
Let's see what the 1200 holds
This saw has been fully gone through by my dealer, i had him swap the case bearings with roller nj204 on the pto and c3 6203 on flywheel.
Whoever designed this beast is a genius, muffler gasket has a deflector with tiny lip. Looks like they were trying to direct exhaust gas in a scooping manner, and improve laminar flow. I'd assume it increases scavenging efficiency in expense of rpm.
Crank needless to say is way over built compared to its competitors, i ported 880 the other day and the crank seems like almost half of this size. Massive rod/ rod bearing/bob weight, if anyone is looking for a platform to oversize bore over 150cc this is what you need.
Decomp vent hole is double the size of stihl and husky counterpart, even then it tend to rip fingers out. Must be the tight combustion chamber creating the crazy high compression.
Stock timing is 100/122/75 with 1.4mm squish, its going to get machine work and im looking to land squish at 0.8mm and final port timing after porting at 98/116/80. That way it'll retain majority of low end tq and let it push further high up, we'll see how it ends up
