The other night this problem started. I hadn't logged out, I hadn't re entered my payment info, I had that saved, I have plenty of money in my account, I made like 5 orders that day and I went to make another one that night and this started and it is still like this 30 ish hours later. Everything is fine with my bank. On the prior screen I had my card selected and hit confirm and pay then this is what comes up. On any item. I called eBay yesterday and the bot said it was outside of business hours even tho it was almost noon... Other than that their answer machines puts me in a loop. I think this happened in the spring and I managed to get ahold of eBay and it took them a couple days to fix it, but I don't remember for sure. Anyone ever experience this before or have any ideas? I've cleared all my tabs, tried on my iPad instead of my phone, restarted my phone, powered off my phone, logged out and in of eBay on the iPad, and still the same result. 1000004842.jpg

I just got something through eBay/Paypal the other day without issues, I have not seen that before. I do all my transactions through my computer, have not tried it on my phone. It is possible there is an issue with the app on your phone (either needing an update or the company needs to fix a bug). If you are using an iPhone then it might be an Apple thing since it is happening on yout iPad too.

Back in the day, the only way to use eBay was with PayPal so that’s what I had set up. I have made thousands of transactions on eBay and never had a problem.

Certainly not saying that’s what’s going on, but PayPal is the format it was designed for and it works well

Does it work now?
No. I have been on the phone with eBay and the credit union for almost an hour. eBay went as far as to put an override on my account, so for no reason is the problem on eBay s end now. Bank claimed there wasn't an issue on their part but eBay says there has to be. I'll call bank again tomorrow as I'm at work now.

Probably just a fraud alert issue or some such thing when you went on your shopping spree a red flag got raised somewhere.

Go to My eBay > payments
Find the payment type and click ‘manage’

Make sure it shows as an option for checkout

Or

My eBay > payments > buying preferences

Set the default payment method

I considered that since I bought 5 items in a row the other day and quite a few the days before.

I'll do that and go thru it but it has been my default payment method for over a year, never changed it or anything.

PayPal is excellent. Only issue I've had lately is money taking a looooong time to transfer back and forth with the bank, and that may be on the bank.

Probably is the individual bank. Transfers usually land the next day for me unless I do it late at night

The bank keeps saying it's on eBay s end. The so called shipping spree would not have triggered anything they said.
