Are they really so light?
I know that the specs are 6,3 kg, but on all picture on a scale they are heavier

This is the lightest American market pic I have from Neal Murphy:

And this is the lightest 70cc saw we have on record(13.5lbs). Mine is slightly lighter for some reason(by about 3 ounces). But I've since added larger spikes and a large clutch cover to mine.

OK, now I know why mine was lighter. I gutted the muffler and added two exit holes before I added the DP front part.
She's just shy of 14 lbs now and is set up like this most the time(Factory DP, timing advance - bone stock otherwise).

Well, I say factory, but it's a rather generous hole in the first 'p':

The 046 I had here to sharpen the chain on was a early one with a dp cover. It was quite obnoxious. Whole lotta noise and not a lot of go imho. I could fix that lol... but not my saw.

BTW, the Dolmar 7900 is the main reason I started the chainsaw weight gallery. One day @sawfun and I were chillin in Yamhill, Oregon, sat in front of a fat Douglas Fir log with a 372, an 046, a 7900, and his old 044. We were about to test them side by side(and we were both impressed by all of them). I then said to him, no freakin way that 7900 weighs a pound less than my 046. They felt nearly identical in weight. But everyone on the AS forums was saying it weighed 13.6 lbs. I shut them up about that in short order.

Still... a 80cc saw that weighs the same as a smaller 76cc saw. They totally outperform the 046, especially stock. Modded... a 046/460/461 are mean and close to a 7900. I just like the dolkita spring av better and the filter stays clean longer.

You guys are more than welcome to start a stihl thread on the 046 and keep that there. This is a dolmar thread, not a weigh your stihl thread. I’m not saying the 046 is a turd or a bad saw. I actually think there nice and like them.

Don't need one. It's already a legend saw...
Guys are only replying to what you posted. You have to allow that.

Ah c'mon now. We're all friends here. As a friendship token I'll offer up another Dolmar pic:
