Here is what I came up with. I wanted it to somewhat match the profile of the air filter cover. We will see if the tiny weld on the seam holds up to heat cycles and vibration.

Dolmar mufflers are expensive.
Lil dent to the back corner, trim a dog screw, adjust bolt spacing, done.

Nope, I've never tried pulse. I'm by no means a professional welder. I'm a self taught hack.

I can pre-measure what needs cut or I can send the saw. I can't get time on the lathe and I want to move forward on the saw.

Testing a 28 with a 8 tooth, no problems at all. I would like to see how it does with a 36 just for kicks. Run a 20/24 on it in the woods for production usually.

Finally popped the weak older design 7900 spring mount. Which is a known weak point. Oh well it gives me a excuse to upgrade to the stronger updated one.

Change out the clamp at the same time. New one is steel vs aluminum. Also need to flip that clamp for the longer spring.
