Like pulling out your pecker in a hoe house.
The baffle? For sure. It wasn’t easy. I only made a few cuts, but seems like it runs a little cooler and revs a little freer so far...

The low top elbow is larger and bends more gradual then the HD setup, the HD does keep out the fines better and looks awesome, the HD setup is around 60.00 and probably not worth it to be honest, it has more parts then most think, I have thought about trying to use the higher cover with the lower filter and elbow under it but it will take some work, maybe this winter.

Anyone wanting to go with a nylon mesh AF should give the fine white one a try, part number 038 173 080.
It features a finer mesh than the black one, supposedly 0.05mm.

I have that one on both my PS-7300 & PS-7310 and like it so far.

You should include the 6400 and 7300 series in this thread. My next one when I get some free cash. Will be a 6400 with solo crank and 50mm top end. :)
Agreed, this thread should be for the whole saw family range 64xx/73xx/79xx.

I actually posted all of mine right from the start of this thread. ;)

Yup I meant the whole series. I tried to keep the title short and sweet, I’ll edit it to be more clear:)

If I were to buy a new 7910, I might end up going for the 7310 out of curiosity. I’m guessing there is little to no difference unless your in big wood. Any insight on the 7300/7310?

@huskyboy that's what I just received a 7300. Specs for the old 7300 say 5.7 hp so I'm guessing/hoping their close. I have read you can't tell a difference until you slap on a 28

Something interesting I noticed is the 7910 took a .6 hp hit vs 7900 and the 7310 only took a .4 hp hit vs 7300. Paper specs aren’t everything though, I’ve read people say 7910 is just as fast as the old 7900 stock vs stock.

I have heard that as well. And agree paper specs don't mean s-word. My 670 champ has paper specs of 4.9 hp yet keeps up with a 372! I made 3-4 cuts with my 7300 when I first got it so I'm not totally sure but it feels much stronger than my 670, much stronger!

I think with shorter bars such small cc advantages are not really seen or felt. Seems like it’s a similar situation to the 385/390xp.

I'd say that slr in the muffler has alot to do with that.
