If buying new? Might as well get the larger bore. However if I had the 7300/7310 I wouldn’t throw away the topend for a 7900/7910 cylinder. I’d spend that $ on porting the 7300/7310.

Are there any differences between the 6401 and 6421?

Some of the city Elms would require it but that one is already headed to New York. That makes the 4th or 5th 90cc saw that I have owned and sold...
I've seen where you're from. You should've been a fan of combines instead of chainsaws

Funny you should mention combines, the grandfather of one of my friends invented the first rotary combine and was just inducted in to the Canadian Agriculture Hall of Fame...

It’s more or less the same thing.

6401 had gloss top covers in grey or black, left hand decomp, and a non cat muffler.

6421 is the newer version. Flat black top covers, right hand decomp, and stainless cat muffler.

The decals on the saws are a little different as well. I’m sure there may be other things that are different, as there have been changes made through the years, but those are the ones that come to mind quickly and are easy to spot.

My next mod is going to be modding the oiler on these. It’s better than a 1128 stihl, but its no husky oiler. I modded the little 421 oiler already. Great results. Hopefully this one isn’t too difficult. Any input or tips on modifying the oiler on these would be greatly appreciated for me and the thread.....
