Just picked up a Dolmar 6100 today from my Husqvarna dealer, it was a trade in, story goes the guy couldn't get it to start so he traded it on a 465 rancher, I looked it over and we put a new plug in it and clearned the air filter, tried to prime it and no fuel?? Checked and the saw was empty, fueled it up and started right up. I am fairly cretain the guy traded a saw because he didn't check it to see if it had fuel, we negotiated and I bought the saw for a fair price, the saw is a 2013 model and shows little signs of use,but I know very little about them so any input on these would be great. Thanks

The opinion of many seems to be that it is the most modern hotrod 60cc saw that can still be adjusted with a screw driver.

There are a few guys that make them real fast..

If you put " Dolmar 6100" in the "Search" function up top where the header bar is you will find some real good threads on the 6100 and other Dolmars. Fat ass Dolmars is worth a look along with a thread Mastermind did on modding .
I have one and like it a lot .
I look forward to some info on the work J .. @jmssaws puts into the 6100 as he says ..there a strong one in stock form.

You have the saws now build a good thread test these two saws out on the similar size bars cut some big wood and long bars

You will enjoy that challenge and don't let the Dolmar do too much whooping

Thinking if I sell the ms440 I might just keep the 6100, I have two 044's and two 346xp's, might as well have two 60cc saws as well, I hardly ever use any of my 70cc saws but when I do the MOFO gets the nod.

I don't have the dumaflauchy to adjust the high side so 13.4k is all I got until I get one.
Runs pretty good but my muffler modded 562 will clobber it.
I'll port both and see what happens
