Different Caber rings?

Wow , that is odd , I don't recall ever seeing black rings that are OEM Stihl .

When I was at Stihl dealers were allowed to return a certain number of parts each year depending on their sales (annual parts return) . Anyway I had to sort thru this stuff checking it and you wouldn't believe how many times I found AM parts subbed in the package including pistons and rings . I recall one return that was so bad I refused it and sent the whole mess back with a letter stating we don't accept junk .

I just picked up the set at the dealer today, should I be questioning the rings? The piston is clearly oem mahle. I guess I also made the assumption that stihl oem kit used caber, but maybe they do their own thing.

So MM does Stihl use caber rings?Mine are grey and we're told they non F.
Just to confirm BLACK F,GREY non F.
BTW why do you perfer the F ones?

MAW should be on the oem stihl rings from the last 10 pistons I got.

I'm sure Stihl has a few vendors they use for their rings. Who knows what they call them.

I use the Cabers in black, or silver. The black ones seem to make a better seal.
