Mine wore off the paint quickly, 20 something chains on it, I forget. Tip is still tight. Seems like a better tip than the powermatch. Think I only had to dress the rails twice. Flip it every time I have clutch cover off. It is flimsier than a sugi or tsumura... but man is it light! I opened the oil holes just a tad and it makes a difference. 6675596C-9FA3-4804-BC23-24CDD0BE52AA.jpeg

The 180 needs a better chain Jim.

Truth be told most 660's around here never wore over a 28" bar.
Mine never did at work even on big stuff. Never used light bars either. Production saw, never imho. The 79xx would just better fit the whole bill or a Solo.
Most any saw that a logger brings to me has a 20" bar. They take down some big ass trees with a 20.

Like 20 inch blade big? :D
Here's a good example. That was right after I ported it.

Yup

Yup

And yes.

To me, logging with a 20" bar is a waste of time and energy. Others have their opinions and I think that's fine that ours differ. I use 20" bars with the tree service almost exclusively which is great for our uses.
I've seen what these guys can put on a landing in a day. Believe me when I say they give zero shíts what anyone else thinks.

Plus they're the ones lugging the saw around all day and keeping that chain sharp so who am I to judge?
