Has anyone ever ground the slot for a stihl light weight for it to work with the outboard clutch? To slot it the same length as a D009 bar it gets into the reduced weight insert quite a bit didn't know if any structural issues might arise?View attachment 50989
It will be fine. I ground mine out without a problem.

Update:

Well lucky for me, you guys were right! Adding one more drive link did the trick. (From 114 to 115) To tell you the truth; I'm shocked how much slack one d.l. adds to the whole equation.

Now for the "Duh" moment. It says 115 on the damn bar...LOL! I thought since it was made for a Stihl 114 would work, but I was wrong.

We also had to drill out the chain tensioner holes a bit, to the same size as the ones on a standard husky bar. The bar was getting hung up on the CT nub. The good thing is; the oil holes/slots still line up with room to spare.

I wanted to say thanks again for all the help/support! Ya'all saved me some cashola!!

Pat,

You're welcome.

That'll be $9.95 plus shipping and handling for the advice.

We take cash, card, or money order.
