Anybody hear of him or know him? I ran across one of his chainsaw dyno videos that was shown to me by my YT algorithm. Happened to be the 564XP he ported and dynoed. I found it intriguing and looked into him a bit more, knowing there are a lot of "hacks" out there online claiming to be porters and was just curious as to where this guy falls. It appears he's one of the good ones, as far as I can tell. I didn't find a single mention of him on here or any forums which was odd to me, so it intrigued me even more. LOL He has quite a few followers on YT and seems to be known in the hot saw racing scene around NE WI and where he lives in the lower UP. Anyway, just curious, that's all. I thought I'd post something here in case someone else is looking for info on him.

He's an admin for the Wisconsin & U.P. Chainsaw Racing Association FB page as well:

Cyrus currently has the OE 372xp I purchased from Paveen Raj. I am really not sure how a guy could do more to earn anyone's porting business than Mr. Johnston. I mean, it seems he lives and breathes chainsaws. He builds 'em. He races them. He tests them on his dyno. He puts his product out there for everyone to see and judge on the Internet. And he answers his phone!

After speaking with him I got the sense that the reply he made in the comment section of the video below was as genuine as it gets: "I just wanted to show that I build every saw as if it was mine."

Cyrus has my full confidence.
