Are there any options for better cranks bearings on a husky 390xp?
Thanks

SKFs are spendy so I assume they're really good. Made in Argentina and/or Italy they say.

Lots of good 6203s out there. NTN, Nachi, SKF, slacker etc. Skip the China and Taiwan options. Dominant makes a ceramic, but it’s very expensive.

I believe the PTO side is proprietary.

I've built about 5 saws as gifts for friends and family. One of the saws, a stihl ms 310, I upgraded the plastic-caged bearings to skf 6203 c3 bearings.

Well my friend just overheated the saw so badly, that the saw wouldnt restart. He ran it hard in summer temps in winter mode, forgot to put the summer tab back in the air box. He dogs hard into every cut like the saw is a fkn prybar. He stretched out an exl chain in less than 5 cord of wood. Bearings are still good. They are worth the price! The saw stihl runs strong but the compression is slightly lower from overheating. I suspect soft piston rings on the lil red barn piston, as the cylinder bore looks fine.
