Ok this should be the last question..... What RPM should this be idling at? Seems to be happy at 4500 but wanders between 3500 & 5500 and if it gets to 3500 it usually stalls out. It did winde out to just over 15000 with only the clutch on it, pulled it back to 12000 till I get a chain on it n do some cutting hopefully this weekend. I have seen 8500 is where it should be in the cut from the online manual, but no idle speed

Here's the rundown on this thing now:
-slit Modded Muffler
-copper heat exchanger plate for exhaust gasket
-mild port and clean up of exhaust & intake no ↓ ↑ timing change
-smoothed out carb adapter plate
-squish gasket delete.....getting 155-160 comp
-filed out the keyway a tad and shimmed it so its probably 2-3 degrees advanced

Its got many miles on it from previous owner, who ran it at 32:1 mix

I just set the idle so the chain doesn’t move, just. the wandering makes me suspect a leak.
