Is the Milwaukee the mid torque 1/2” or high torque? I have a 1/2” mid torque and obviously it won’t run with a high torque Milwaukee but it will mid torque. This one is had and shoulders about the previous dewalt that looked the same. An old non slide pack dewalt shouldn’t compare to a newer Milwaukee

20v Dewalt 1/4 inch impact is all I have for my needs. 3/8 would have me busting out a breaker bar and for 1/2 inch I would use air tools. I borrowed a classic Milwaukee 1/2 plug-in impact from a friend one time that was pretty good.

The only HF cordless tool I’ve had was their oscillating tool and the battery didn’t last long.

HF used to be my go-to for ‘Don’t care if it breaks just let it last for this one job’ tools. They appear like they may have improved things over the years but I’m still leery. I recently picked up a set of their Icon hex t-handles (had a 25% off coupon) and they are a little ‘flexy’ at torque.

My cordless "impact wrench" is an M12 Milwaukee driver, all I really need for small engine work. My background is in the automotive repair so I have pneumatic impact tools from ¼" to ½". My torque wrenches cover the same range.

there is a huge conglomerate that owns most of these tool mfg. as such since they have been involved quality has slipped substantially. so a partial list :makita, roybi dewalt, milwaukee, lots more i can't remember. repair parts and service are falling behind or simply do not exist. customer service has gotten pretty poor. I have a gas powered roybi multi head trimmer unit been waiting on a part for 6 months. (course ryobi like makita has gone all electric and are basically ignoring any gas items at this point).

We run both Dewalt an Milwaukee here for pipefitting and plumbing the Milwaukee 1/2" high torque will out perform the Dewalt. And Milwaukee has some cool stuff like all thread cutters an mag drills victaulic groomers that Dewalt doesn't offer. I will say the Milwaukee drills suck compared to Dewalt so I guess it comes down to what the tool is an what the price is.

Ryobi and Milwaukee are part of the same large Chinese conglomerate. Dewalt is not and has nothing to do with Milwaukee and I do believe makita is its own also. Stanley/black&decker/mtd owns dewalt along with craftsman, black&decker and porter cable power tools. Stanley hand tools and many brands of lawn equipment including cub cadet and Troy built.

There's a decent amount of guys here running harbor freight power tools nowadays simply because losers can't stop stealing shìt. Why invest all that money in say milwaukee only to have your window smashed and entire tool bag(s) swiped at any time. Rather be out $1000 vs $3000+. The Bauer and Hercules stuff seems to be getting the job done and new power tools are being added to the lineup all the time. Personally i think harbor freight stuff has come a long way

Your supposed to shoot only what's needed to disable, the only way you would get in trouble is if they could prove you were we're trying to hurt the guy for the sake of hurting him.

The law here is 1verbal warning if it's your vehicle in public. Anything on your property as soon as they touch the door they're fair game.
In public yours supposed to try to get away and on your property it needs to be your house and a threat of bodily harm way what I read stated. Basically the same as mn in public but no matter the state if you shoot someone over 1500$ in tools your life’s going to be miserable for awhile weather or not it being proven justified. Personally as bad as it sucks the 1500$ wouldn’t be worth the s-storm to follow. But back to tools since everyone will have different thoughts on this like everything else in life.

We're county unincorporated if someone comes around on your property and tries to break into your chicken coop he's fair game for violent disablement. And by public I meant county unincorporated small towns or other people's houses. Once you get close to anything large town or City the law changes and almost nothing is allowed.

Now your only supposed to do what's needed if he is breaking into a out building and you kill him on purpose you going to get it. If you put a .22 through his leg nothing happens.
